Both my dad and I need your help!
What's up guys?

Dad's 68 Shelby GT500KR made it into a calendar contest and I thought I would post it up here to see if you guys would help him out and throw some votes his way and maybe he can win a spot in the calendar! If he gets the most votes he can pick the month he wants the picture to appear in as well so if you can help my dad out, he'd really appreciate it!!!
Now onto my dilemma...

Looking at lightweight wheels and these two seem to be somewhat reasonably priced and I think they both look pretty sick. The top pic is the Rota P45R and the biggest wheel I can get is a 18x9.5 with a +20 offset to fit and the plan would be to run 18x9.5's on all four corners with probably NT05's or Kumho XS's in 275/35-18 or 285/35-18(I know jazzer that they probably won't fit the worlds best but for the extra meet in the turns it might help).
The second choice is the Enkei RPF1. Now that wheel is offered in an 18x10.5 for the rear but I can't find a proper offset for the front in the 18" sizes that would be able to handle that much tire out back. But they make 17x10's with a +18 offset that should fit and then a 17x9 with a +22 offset that should work as well. Plans would be the same tire wise except the rears would get 315/35-17's or either tire and the front would get 275/40-17's. I need some opinions guys!!! Let's hear 'em!!!

A 275 would be max I would recommend on a 9.5" to retain good cornering characteristics.
I wonder how the gold ones would look?
Jazzer

Voted..... and that Honda Insight is bad ****!
Jazzer, sorry to hear about your cat. Rob, it's in the back of my mind but not all that important.
Jazzer, I don't see why you won't go anything over 275. I had 18x9.5 wheels before and they had 285/35-18's on them...perfect fit. I just really want a set of light wheels since my current wheels weigh a ton!!!

so continue your motor build plans and throw enough power at those rear wheels that you could keep those wheels on and throw two obese bodies in the trunk and still manage 10seconds in the 1/4.....
