Hey ALL,

I need opinions, I was thinking of installing a 2000 Cobra R front bumper on my GT
I have a Diecast replica of one on the shelf and it looks awesome, so i was thinking
about putting some of the parts on my 03, I see alot of ppl have installed Roush, steeda
and other assorted body parts on their cars and was wondering.

Please be honest, but not rude.

and if YAY, does someone have a pic of one installed on a Dark Shadow Grey new edge?

IIRC you need the 99/01 front bumber and the "r" lip. The rear bumper should be the same as the 01. Other than that the "r" wing and wheels you should be good to go. I am unsure of the side skirts and hood. the hood is different as well. To be honest, I am a big if it isn't that car don't make it look like it. it is your car and you should do as you please with it and what will make you happy

 

I think it's too much for a street car. But thats me...

 

I'm not 100% sure on the front bumper but I do know that the rear bumper was a V6 bumper because the Cobra R had side exit exhausts.

 

Yea, I was thinking just the front bumper, leave all the rest the same, the side skirts look
the same as whats on my car now. The exhaust would be normal GT, but maybe change hood to the heat extractor one. Just want some little touches, but by no means a REPLICA
or as i have heard around the forum before a FOBRA.

 

I wouldn't do it....perhaps a '01 Cobra or '03/04 Cobra!

 

I bought a 2000 gt awhile back that had a Xenon kit on it and I really liked it. It was that much of a difference and I thought it looked good.(suppose I will get flamed now!)

The cobra R bumper looks awesome on the cobra R or even on weekend warrior, but I would imagine that splitter would take an awful beating if the car is going to be used daily. the 03/04 cobra is sexy its what i have and i would definitely suggest it

 

personally i liked them at first but over time i started disliking the bumper more and more. IMO your car would look **** with a stage 3 roush front bumper, 03-04 cobra side skirts, 3" cowl hood and a saleen or roush spoiler.

 

Its your car man do whatever you desire. I would slam it if it isnt already slammed and put a cobra r hood on it too. It will look mean thats for sure.
