Default SVO/PI

just a quick question, i was thinking about putting some heads on my 96 gt and was wondering what would be better, some svo heads or PI heads, and also what is the difference between the two if there is any. ANY THOUGHTS MUCH APPRECIATED??

If you can find true SVO heads and intake for cheap, do it. Unfortunately they are still limited. There are few better options, TrickFlows or a really good ported set of PI's.

If you are staying NA or a Centri the SVO's would be a good addition. If you wanted a KB, you would run into some small issues.

I am unaware if the Trickflow heads ever actually proved they were worth the money/hype. I haven't paid much attention lately. The small bore of the 4.6 is a huge hurdle for any head.

I can't tell you the casting differences but there should be a cast number on the side that you can verify. Then google the number.

Be aware though that some retarded people call PI heads SVO heads; especially when they are trying to sell them for a premium price to unsuspecting cash ******.

Stock unported SVO heads are worth money to the NMRA guys, Ford stopped producing them a long time ago.

An SVO head with a larger PI shaped intake port and the PI chamber would have made the best 2V head possible IMHO. Oh well...............
