Hammer down. If it lasts or if it breaks is just pure dumb luck.

Well I am proud of myself for doing my first clutch install on my own. No leaks, no shudder or chatter.

So far so good!

When I did my first clutch in the mustang I was so tired from being up all night I forgot all about what everyone had always told me about babying new clutches. I got in it and just romped on it.

It lasted till and held till my last build and I didn't even surface the flywheel.

Phh jvog....that would have been nice.

Bmw's are a completely different car than any american or jap car dude... this e90 rides like a dream, gets 30 mpg, is powerful, comfortable, reliable, and it just feels solid. Stops on a dime, can corner like jazzer, has a dynamic traction control that is far more mature than my right foot, and pleasurable interior styling. A sleek yet aggressive exterior and on top of it all....its a frickin beamer.

Im a firm believer that major car repair stems from lack of maintenence or neglect. Stay up on your ****...dont run your pads into your calipers. Dont add oil when your engine starts to knock. Dont beat the thing. Dont drive it like a racecar. Dont drive like a dick and stay on top of maintenence and your car will give you a solid 300k or better... on ane change your buchings out front after a few years...it will keep it feeling new.

I can see the point of keeping up on maintenance, I just don't want a repair bill for your fancy electronic doo hickies. Like "dynamic traction control" whatever that is...unless it's BMW's way of saying ABS??

I would love a beemer...but I don't want an older one. A 2008 M3 would suite me quite well He spent $2K on a "axle back" for his car LOL

Yeah those things....I got one that didn't have all the fancy doohickies. Kind of a base model if you will. LOL Not abs. Just a fancy way to say traction control.

M3 would be siiiick! But mods for bimmers are outrageously expensive. Just get a 335i. Twin turbo 3.0 boyeeee!
