Default Calling all wheel/tire gurus.

I plan on running weld prostars next year and wanna run a 15 inch wheel in the back and want to know whats the widest and tallest tire i can possible run in the back of my 97 and what wheel backspacing I will need. I also need information on the wheel and tire size for the front where i have cobra brakes so will need advice on what size wheel for the front and what size tire. I will thank everyone in advance for the information.

you will have to run a 17 inch wheel up front to clear your breaks i believe.

not sure about the 96-98 cars but if it is somewhat close to the 99-04 the rear is a 15x10 with 6.5 inch back space and a 28x11.50/15

15x10 = 6.5 b.s.
15x8 = 5.5 b.s.

I run 26" tall, I believe 28" is possible if your not lowered.

edit: didnt see your not a new edge

a 28x11.50 would be on target, if that means losing the rear springs and going to stock springs thats fine by me. I think the 28s in the back would look sick with the front coil overs lowering the front, nice drag look. Thanks guys thats exactly what I was looking for.

I'd go 26" depending on your gearing.
