Default what tire pressure for 555r on street? (Tread life) 23psi max?

So I mainly found brand X sites when searching google. But most claim not to run anything more than 23 psi on the street with a 555r or the middle of the tread will wear way faster than the outsides and lead to premature wear/failure. Said at about 18-23 psi on both street and track you will get the best life from the tire? Some even claimed like 15,000 miles! What do you guys run? Do you agree with the brand x guys? If you have ran these for a lot of miles I would be real interested in hearing your experience!

I run mine at 35psi warm, so idk what they are when they're cold, but I get decent tread life out of them.

I think for that sort of thing you'd really have to be very vigilent, the pressure/weight on either side of the car changes so much with the 555r's its insane. One day it'll be perfectly balanced, the there will be a vibration.

It's crazy, but not a big deal.

I run my 315/35/17's at about 30 psi on the street. My last set did indeed wear out in the middle, but I had also done a lot of burnouts at the drag strip to contribute to that wear.

Thanks for the hekp guys. For those of you above how many miles have you gotten out of the tires? Did you have the middle wear out before the outside?

I have been through one set from new to finish...had to have been at least 15k miles.

Had bought another set, but traded those wheels for others. They also had quite a few miles on them.

That's encouraging! Was that at the 30psi? Should I run mine lower seeing as how they are smaller?
