Would you consider coating pistons worth it? Obviously its a benefit in that you have less heat transfer and less chance of detonation. Additionally, with the coating you get a better seal so less blow by and have less wear on the cylinder walls. I just want to know if the gains are worth the 400$ to coat them.

For a basic street car under 1000hp no it's not worth the money.

K. Was planning on running around 700rwhp at max and keeping it as a street car. Didn't know if coating would help with helping the engine last longer because of a better seal and less wear on the cylinder walls. That along with being able to hit the hp goal on less boast due to being able to run more timing.
