I agree with TRUEBLUE on the tires. The BFG Dr.s on my GT last me about 2 years. I only put about 3000 to 4000 mile a year on it. Mostly a quarter mile at a time. Even the BFG'S aren't the greatest in the rain. The Mickey's are way softer and wear quicker. My LSC see's limited street duty, mostly track time. I have 2 years on those tires. Is your car a stick or automatic???

wait wait wait wait wait.....you are supercharged and running on nexen tires?!!?!?!?? I had nexens on for two weeks on my rear tires and I wanted to stab myself they were so bad. They are a decent tire for the front but damn it was like a guessing game over how long they would spin before I'd start moving if I was driving spiritedly.

Purple - haha yes i am on Nexan N3000's they came with my rims i know Horrible hard tire good for lasting a long time not for the track, which was why i was looking at the 555R's which will most likely be my next tire. I agree i spin them just taking a turn out of my neighborhood. I got Supercharged just a few weeks ago and didnt intend on going to the track but i might be addicted

2ton - auto

true - well my traps gradually got better each time i went i think i could raise them to around 89 or 90 esp. when i get the extra 100 pounds out and the extra 40 hp from the Meth tune. I think Once I get my 60 foot down i can make everything look much better on the slip

BTW it did just rain a few hours prior for the entire day yesterday so everything was a tad wet.

Get some V6 wheels and slicks

Get tokico 5 ways up front
Strange 10 ways out back
stock springs all around or 4 cyls cut to your liking up front ( or 14" 175lb coil overs if ya wanna spend the $)

One question that really needs to be addressed, is what all do you want this car to do for you?

If handling is also a concern, some compromises will need to be made. Typically, that which makes good handling will have some negative impact on straight line traction. Not one to one trade offs though. If handling is important, maybe the TA set-up is a good way for you to go. It should help your straight line traction to some degree and it will help the handling for certain.

Very good drag strip weight transfer set-ups probably won't handle real well. Adjustable shocks/struts can help in that department. However, most guys can't properly adjust their shocks/struts to appropriate settings, so what may seem to be a great option may in fact be less than optimal. This is the primary reason I decided to go with Bilstein HD non-adjustable shocks/struts vs double adjustable units. I am fairly certain that I would not have had the ability to tune my settings to optimal effect, so no need to spend money for the ability to adjust something I wouldn't get correct...

Just my thoughts on some things to consider before you lay out hard earned money on suspension components...

You def have to put some really sticky tires on that car. What torque convertor are you using?

I'd throw a set of sticky tires on the back for starters. You have a decent amount of money in that suspension. Since it is mainly a street car with the very occasional trip to the track, I wouldn't ditch what you have for a drag setup just yet. You might be happy with your performance with what you have now and a set of decent DRs or slicks. Just a thought.

Yupp just a daily driver with spirited driving occasional autocross and drag events when they are around. I would be happy with a 1.8-2.0 60 ft. i dont need to cut 1.5-1.6's because it isn't a drag car. Wasn't sure if the better tires and PHB/TA would allow me to cut those times.

I think the key to a better launch at this point is tires so that is #1 on my list. that and practice haha

boduke - I suppose i could get some V6 wheels and nice tires for drag days but idk if the cost would be justified with only going once a month or every other month.

2ton - Stock Converter. If i cant hook at all with the stock one I wouldn't see the point in going to a higher one. i guess i coulda went stock gears and higher converter but i did the 4.10's and stock converter.

Any tips to a better 60ft? (driving tips)

I absolutely agree with this! Sticky tires will get you more gain than any suspension mod. You may be VERY happy once you get some DRs and make some passes on them. A spare pair of wheels may be much cheeper and effective than suspension mods. Spare wheels that have either ET Streets or slicks will drop your ET a lot, while allowing you to have some mods that improve your daily handling.

My car makes around 290rwhp and I run 1.7 60' times with low profile ET Street radials (275-40-17) all on quite stiff springs and lowered a fair amount. Those suspension mods make for good handling, but are terrible for weight transfer and good launches. TIRES ARE CRITICAL!!! Run the best you can and your results will be good.

You did the right thing going with 4.10s being an auto. It would be a complete dog off the line with stock gears. You might find that a little higher of a stall will be beneficial once you can eliminate the severe traction issues are gone.

Since you are running the stock converter, just hold the engine at about 1100 RPM and just nail it when you release the brake. Of course, you won't be able to do this until you have better tires.
