Default JET PERFORMANCE MODULE

Hello Mustang people
I have just got a new to me 98 gt. My question is about the Jet performance module and thier claim to up HP by 30 horses. Is anyone using this and do they believe the claim is real? Thank you Don Shaffer

No, No and more NO.

Your not going to get more than about 15HP out of a tune on a stock car.. and thats being pretty generous.

Is the diablo hand tuner any better? Or is 15 hp the best I can hope for with any type of tuner?

I agree with HOSS302 on this. I have the JET Mod on my 05 V6, and noticed a slight gain in HP. It's similar to a canned tune. I would say between 10-15 HP with 93 octane gas. This is also being used with an AEM Brute force CAI. Me thinks the CAI is a must to feel any amount of measurable gains. Just my 2 cents

your not gonna squeeze any more power out of anything really from a stock car. The diablo handheld sucks, I had nothing but issues with mine.

The only handheld I think is worth its salt is the SCT stuff. The Delta Force Special Forces Tuning package is the best on the market IMO though for at home tuning.

And LOL @ the guy that says a CAI is a must.. not on a 2v...

I found a CAI to be pretty worthless. I have the Sniper handheld tuner..got it to recalibrate my speedo after gears. Basically just bumping the timing a little for a 91 octane. 30 horsepower...no. But I do think it made a nice noticeable difference in the way the engine performs. 10, 12, 15 hp maybe, I don't know. As worthless as the CAI seemed, I do think the plenum and TB upgrade is a worthwhile mod, although I wouldn't spend big bucks on the accufab stuff.

you'll get more hp from a sticker.

My tuner uses the Sniper software on my car. Used to have SCT and was very happy with it as well.

If anything id go SCT for a canned tune
