Default track question

The guys at work have been bugging me to run my car at the track now that I have the supercharger on. I am a little concerned only because I do not have the intercooler and no gauges yet. Track temps next Saturday night should be in the high 50's low 60's I am sure. Car has been dyno tuned and everything is spot on including AFR's. Just don't want to take a chance running it and having something happen. Also any insight on how to launch would be great. Stock rubber and clutch. Have not raced in years.

Without the intercooler you will still be fine. I just wouldn't run it back to back. As far as launching goes I'm in an auto and I leave off of my stall which is held til 1900rpms. I'm also on a Mickey Thompson

I figured 5 speed when you said stock clutch. That's why I didn't get into to much detail on that part

Until you get a feel for launching and all that, i'd just basically come off idle, since you're on stock tires.

Stock tires you could probably roast straight to the ground, so +1 to what MRT said about leaving at idle.

I agree with mrtstang!
Since you are on street tires and have some new power, I would just leave off idle like from a traffic light and roll into the throttle smoothly.

You don't stand to gain a whole lot trying agressive launches, but you sure can ruin runs that way. Get it out of the hole smoothly and let you power work for you, not against you.

More than anything, JUST HAVE SOME FUN!
Good luck!

Trust me leave off of idle...i can't get traction w/ my 555s and i didn't even roll into the throttle that hard.

Im on a stock clutch too.
