Default Back Passenger Side Brakes..

My pasenger side back rim was extremely hot. I can smell the brakes. Is the parking brake connected to BOTH back brake calipers, or just the passenger side? Sticking caliper?

Parking brake is connected to both sides. Your caliper probably needs to be rebuilt.

It is probably the sliders that are that are froze up. Sometimes it is just easier to get new mounting brackets and Sliders at the Autoparts store

Sliders? Can you explain?

EDIT: Nvm. I found what you meant. I never thought about the sliders...I'll give that a shot.

Changed sliders for that side, greased them up really well. Brakes are still stuck. Guess it's time for a new caliper.

Hold on! you might have a kink in the brake line! did you replace your brakes anytime recently? What happens sometimes is people don't support the brakes correctly and they get a kink internally in the rubber brake line and when you push on the brakes there is enough force to go one way but there is not enough force to push fluid back so the piston will slide back in.

I bought a new brake line, and new calipers. Lol. It was only like...$95 for both. Last time I installed the brakes, the piston wouldn't twist back in...it took me forever to get it back in. I think it's just a bad piston. I have new brackets, and new sliders, and I bought some grease. I'm gonna do it right, there shouldn't be ANY problems when I'm done.

I've replaced the brakes twice in 8 months...this will be the 3rd time.
