Give me some head(s)!
i was thinking about swapping my heads with iron 2v heads.... what do u guys think?? how much hp will i gain? they will be stock 1998 gt heads. they will not be ported because i dont believe in porting.... i am going to put really stiff valve springs though.... i am also going to clean the heads with soap and water before installing them.... i might try to open up the ports a little bit with some sand paper...
Here is my budget so far:
cast iron non pi heads- $1000
sand paper- $10
brake delete- $60
soap and water- $1

you should gain about 192hp your set up
**** cast iron. What you want are brick heads. They're pourus so they flow the best. Also, stick some small rocks or gravel in the coolant and oil passages. Who wants to get their brand new heads dirty with all that oil. Yuck!
Oh, almost forgot. Make sure you get porceline valves and use a bunch of small slinkies for valve springs. They reduce rotational mass making for a smoother running engine. And no headers, either. Open exhaust ports for the best airflow.
That setup should produce untold amounts of power.
