Like I did...

Well, it's not all bad. Getting in my cups after FoMoCo's fantastic win in the Daytona 500, I started dripping around on Ebay.

I've always wanted a Mach 1 shaker setup for my 02GT and by golly, there it was so I bought it.

What does it take to make a GT hood or a regular V6 hood work with the shaker? Or should I wait until I can track down a factory mach hood?

You can cut your hood to make it work, I believe. There is probably a cut out template with the kit... I've seen hoods cut out to make it work before...

you would have to cut your hood and add this to it. http://www.classicdesignconcepts.com...ct_detail&p=78

I ended up getting an aftermarket mach1 hood from carpartswholesale to go along with my cdc shaker kit but they dont sell it anymore it was $288 the hood that is.

fastback,

I would see if I could track down a real shaker hood off of a wrecked Mach, but it almost ALWAYS seems like these cars get hit in front and have the hood damaged. Last time I saw one out here in Ca. it was 3 or 4 hundred if I remember right.

That is a mod I have always wanted to do. I do love the look of the shaker hood.

What does that do? It looks like it raises the level of the hood so it doesn't look like it sits up too high. Am I looking at it right?

Yeah Kast, that's what I want. I really prefer factory pieces which is why I bought the factory Mach I shaker setup instead of the CDC.

Well, that and Sailor Jerry is why I bought it.
