True that, I would never want to buy a car already modded. I would feel stupid doing that.

When buying a used car there is one thing you should keep in mind. If it is modded, just walk away.

I disagree. It is one thing to buy a car modded by the previous owner that is clueless and a completely different thing when you buy from someone who knows WTF they are doing. For example, this car very well may be a solid car, for all we know it could have a built shortblock and could be good up to 700rwhp depending on fuel/tune/pulley/ etc etc etc. But the owner is clueless and sounds like he is trying to get rid of the car desperately before he is stuck with a large maintenance bill.

I would have zero problem buying a modded car if it was done THE RIGHT WAY. Looking at a car and guessing whats been done to it, depreciates the value dramatically.

In addition, when buying a modded car like this, I think you should definitely analyze why the owner is getting rid of it. These cars are toys, and when someone is trying to wholesale theirs off and get rid of it, 9 times out of 10 there is something big wrong with it. If the owners wife is pregnant and bitching about needing the money, well that's a completely different story.

One must ask many, many important questions. If the owner is a 20 year old (or 40 year old) kid, and can't exactly get into great detail about the build and tuning...chances are he didn't treat the car too well.

Good point. lmao the reason we dont have a gto anymore is bc the wife well I got the wife pregnant. Thats the determining factor though if the owner knows everything about the car and why he is getting rid of it.

Sounds like the owner doesn't know much about mods. I would agree to not buy such a seriously modded car because you have no clue what they did to it And when maintenance comes around and you change one thing, it might cause more problems. StArt off with a stock stang and appreciate the time you put into it from modding it yourself.
