Props for doing what you like with your car. I took a lot of flak for building a V6. Currently taking flak for the 'looks' of mods done for functional track use to the V8.

I dont think the Cobra bumper would be an issue as long as there were no "Cobra" badges, then you would be a douchebag. Look at how many 99-04 GT's have Cobra bumpers.....thats my next mod.

 

Dont get butthurt because I told you how it is. The majority of people in this thread would agree with me 100%. If your car looks like a turd, ppl will let you know. Just because you buy a bumper from "insert chinese bumper manufacturer" company, and its different does not make it look good. Making your car look like a 10th grader went crazy at pep boys is not a unique thing to do.. it just looks like crap.

while i can see what your saying i have to question your way of thinking....

majority of the people say my car looks good but the slight aggresiveness of my grill throws them off....one slight thing is the difference between pretty and ****??? and i wouldnt say that means there 100% with you.(this is if your refering to my car being the car that looks like ****)


and while i agree that just because its differnent doesnt make it look good but i dont exactly agree it just looks like crap either....no medium

and finally you ended on a 10th grader having a field day on a car.....well just because the norm is to stay near plane jane as stated before which im not saying its not the "correct" way of doing it. but how long do you honestly(no insult intended) think that will be the case...have u even seen the new concept mustangs for the 2014 mustang they look way more like a rocket ship then my car ever thought about....we all have taste's no doubt but can one standard of what looks like crap dictate what is and what isnt.....many people say my car looks good many doesnt so who decides what it is???

your car doesnt look anything like that 2014 concept, and i highly doubt that concept is even produced by ford. I would go back to the v6 section, they might be a little more receptive of your "car".

 

The majority of people ALSO wont just tell someone they think their car looks like a turd either...especially to their face. But I would bet that a high percentage of people think it. They will sugar coat it because they are to scared to be honest with someone. Me on the other hand...not so much.

You got more vents than an office building, wheels that are to small for the car and dont match the overall look of the car, a front end that doesnt match... are you really surprised that someone doesnt like it?
