I like neons but I'm an old school cruiser & ricer. I had LED's in the engine bay of my '30 Model A back in 98 or 99. While I agree that neons are generally a ricer means, colored lights in a car is an old school thing just like flame throwers.

We get pissy and say it's ricer because within the last 10-12 years the price of neons/LEDs have gone down making them available to just about any walmart shopper.

It's all about attention. If is wasn't we would not do visual mods to our cars and we wouldn't rev our engines at the slightest bit of encouragement.

EVERYTHING is about Balance when you build your car/truck. If 90% of your cars mods are held on with 3m, yeah ...you're a ricer. If you have a bad *** paint job, with a good amount of other substantial mods that add tasteful uniqueness to your car and decide to add LED's for night time car shows and cruising, no, You're not a ricer.

If you have 250$ neons on a $1k car you're probably just a moron.

I had some green lights inside on my 89. At the time I liked it and so did some other people. Like you said it was tasteful. Not really a fan anymore. looks good on motorcycles IMO. Seen a few vehicles Interiors that have it and are nice.

GT Cobra- its like putting a 3in. cowl hood on a stock v6.

 

i had led underglow on my car i like em but you will take heat from other mustang guys


its a rlly good way to get some looks drving down the strip plus there extremly cheap for the kits these days.

i like it alot the grill is not natural and that was rlly the only selling point about it....i understand its a bit too futeristic/exotic for most mustang guys which is fine im ust to it by now

i will say the hood is a bit overthe top thus i have a cowl hood on the way ;-)

 

@ ward: what you got for power under the hood... I see it's a v6 and your running 12.8's? Thats pretty good

 

lol i just deleted the mod list hahah....

but its the powerhouse intercooled turbo kit @ 8psi (soon to be 11-12) , bbk throttlebody, mangnaflow exhuast, jba shorty headers and other small stuff spark plugs wires etc etc

also have a meth injection system to be installed very soon

most recent upgrade and not track tested is i got a 8.8 rearend with 3.73s also the tlocker to so

 

Ahh nice.... I kinda assumed you had ALOT of mods plus spray or else Turbo to own a v6 stating lows times like that. Just wasn't sure which it was. lol

 

yep intercooler is a dead give away as u can see it in my sig and so can all the people i try to hustle at the track rofl lol
