Angry battery bolt broken

so my stupid a** broke the bolt for my positive terminal for my battery, so now installing a battery will be a 2 day project...i went to the auto store and the guy gave me a nut and bolt and said if this doesnt work you are going to need to change the whole wire and everything for the battery...the bolt he gave me didnt fit...anyone have info on this battery bolt? what size fits maybe? i know its a stretch but itd be a big help! if i cant get a bolt thatll fit then i was looking at the PA performance battery terminal because it looks like it's just the terminal so i'm assuming you just attach the current cable to it in some way? not sure, anyone buy this?

o yea, and feel free to make fun of the fact it's taking 2 days for me to install a battery! help me not make it 3!!!

So the wires go over the battery terminal and then they are held onto the battery via a clamp in which a bolt goes through to tighten and secure the wire to the terminal. Correct?

And you broke the bolt that goes through the clamp..

So why not use a different nut/bolt and get a pair of washers that will allow you to secure the clamp tightly to the terminal...

Or you buy one of these for like 1.99$ at the local part store and fix it yourself.

yes sir, that is indeed the bolt that i broke, much better explanation of the bolt than i had lol..and at the store they are trying to sell me the item whitefox pictured with the positive wire attached to it and they are saying u need to install the wire in place of the factory one or some crap like that...i just want a new bolt, i think the guy at the parts store gave me the wrong size bolt on purpose or something! cuz the factory bolt has an 8mm head and the one he gave me is bigger than a 10

The OEM bolt is a M6x1.0 with a flanged 8mm head, however there should be room to use a M6x1.0 with a standard 10mm head. If there's not enough clearance for the 10mm head then stack a couple M6 split lock washer under the head, or get a M6x1.0 socket cap screw.

Ace Hardware, or any other reasonably well stocked hardware store should have this stuff...
