Default Fun Times

Well, as I am sure some of you remember a few months back a broke my 3-4 shift fork on my T-45 transmission. I replaced it with a T3650 but didn't replace the clutch at the time. In retrospect, probably should have. Fast forward to this past Sunday. I am racing a Nissan GTR and I go to shift to 4th and my clutch pedal slides so effortlessly it was almost impressive. What was not so impressive is that my shifter refused to go into 4th because of a lack of a clutch. The pull was apparently too much for my worn out clutch and it decided it wanted to go out in style. It shattered into pieces and caused me to baby my car home without a clutch. (Driving without a clutch is tons of fun btw)

Anyway, I got my spec stage 2 clutch in the mail today so I had the oh so fun task of pulling my transmission (again). Tomorrow, hopefully a machine shop will be open and I can get the flywheel resurfaced and put everything back together. I look forward to not worrying about my clutch being able to withstand the abuse and holding firm as I increase in horsepower over the coming months.

As in before it happened? Yes, If I got on it more then once I would start having the clutch slip on me. It slipped so hard I had a guy in a bolt on GT keep up with me one race. It was so sad. I knew I was going to have to replace it pretty soon, its not like it just happened one day out of the blue.

I will do a T56 swap eventually, but I will most likely go with a Magnum spec T56 and it will cost quite a bit a money. I could afford a T56 right now, but I would rather put the money towards cams and forged internals.

wait..Y did you even bother trying to beat a SUPERCAR. The Nissan GTR would have blown you away..... lol IMO

Also, bad choice in picking up a SPEC clutch. You should have gone the Centerforce route.... The Spec stg 2 will be crap... Just to worn you now

Because a Nissan GTR traps within 3mph of my car? SPEC and Centerforce both make good clutches. You will hear horror stories on both.
