Default Help.. please.

Okay,, so recently when I've been cruising in 4th gear my car will feel like it will almost come out of gear but not like its still there but sliping I guess..

Then go away it doesn't happen ever time only some times what could this be..

Rear diff?? I'm not the original owner of the car so not sure if fluid was ever changed.

car has 123,000 is basically stock besides cai, flowmaster exhuast.

Any help would be greatly appericiated.. thanks.

I assume its auto, sounds like a bad OD band to me

And if the fluid is horrible and/or never been changed, changing it will probably wipe the rest of the trans out.. the metal shavings are most likely the only thing causing the friction you need to move lol

hard to understand what your saying. If you are in 4th and punch it, does the rpms go up and the car not go anywhere?

Ok, so now the details that should have been in the first post are now addressed... we might be able to help. If it feels like any kind of "slipping" that not audible or gear grinding sound, then the clutch is going south

That's pretty much it I don't hear any grinding sound, or anything thanks for the help.

Sorry I'm new to the site and I was having a hard time describing what was going on.

Its still runs good, if I smash it in 4th it still goes everything normal. It when I'm cruising at about 2K or 2200 RPM it when it usually happens
