Default update! lca

ok so ive been gone a while, but now im back...summers rolling around and i have un packed the mustang and am in full tilt go fast mode....but im broke lol. so im doing cheep stuff. Just wanted an opinion. I boxed in my lcas today i think they turned out nice. I had all the stuff lying around so i figured what could it hurt. Im just wondering though, is it gonna make a difference even though i didnt do bushings or buy after market? and should i box in the uppers? any comments welcome

It's not necessarily the strength but the bushings and materials used for the bushings that make most of the difference. But that's cool that you're doing things like this yourself.

So..... you welded a plate of steel on the underside of the LCA's so they are no longer a channel? This is OK, but woul certainly NOT do the same thing to the uppers!

Those little beasts are designed to be flexable so that you only have major snap-steer, rather than extreme snap-steer. Leave the UCA's OEM, until such time as you commit to casual DD and 1/4, or follow the ways of The Cat and go full-on bad-*** mother-****in' corner-carver, yo!

didnt think i should do the uppers. thanks. as far as the bushings, ill buy those probebly this summer. only took me a few hours so changing bushing wont be a big deal. I was more bored and broke. But since im back to work, i wont be broke long, which means that i should be able to get my supercharger going after i do the roof on my house....stupid house...

you joke but that set up see big numbers on old muscle lol...and yes on the 6 speed no on the built. just a standard one. the sad part is all the work i did couldnt overcome the added bulk the the 6 speed has. i put in windage tray and light flywheel, and even though the gear ratios are better i still lost power in the added drive train weight that i slowed the car down quite a bit...just keep thinking sc...sc...sc...sc....then BAM problem solved lol...And now im working almost 60hours a week. so shouldnt be long lol.
