Default Mid-pipe Install

My MAC o/r x pipe just came today! I'm hoping to install it sometime over this weekend. It will be my first time installing a mid-pipe and was wondering if anyone has as hints, tips or just general advice. Any would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you dont, once you get the mid-pipe bolted up to the manifolds, use a scissor jack to hold it up so you can bolt it up to the catback.

Soak the bolts with penetrating fluid and let it sit awhile, you can also let the car run abit to heat up the bolts, its a very easy job unless you break one of the studs off the manifold then it becomes PITA.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Now I know the o/r pipe will cause a check engine light and this can be corrected with a tuner. I am in the process of buying a tuner and it probably won't be here until after I install the mid-pipe. So will it be ok to ride around for a few days with the o/r mid-pipe untill my tuner gets here?

It will be perfectly fine to drive your car around for a few days with the CEL on. If you want to go a cheaper route than buying a tuner, try these. They are made specifically for mustangs with O/R pipes that don't have cats.

Ok awesome. I thought about buying those but decided it would be a better investment to buy a tuner. I'm buying a used predator so it isn't that much more expensive.
