Default Adjusting Headlights (Aiming)

The 4 adjustment points in my car stopped working. I was messing with them the other day trying to focus them in since I got the lenses refurbished *for the most part* and then they just stopped adjusting.

I know this sounds silly, but they're just free spinning now.

I've had the lights out and I see how they work, you turn and the shield inside the headlight gets pushed up/down and left/right.

Has anyone else ever had to adjust their lights and had the screws stop working?

*they're not stripped, I can still see all the grooves for the screwdriver and such*

I need to. I replied to your text as well.

I'm a bit worried about my drive BACK from OH/PA next week. One head light is pointed to the ground, and the other to the sky.

So I just put in my headlights that I bought on ebay. So do I need to adjust them?
