Default new exhaust set-up

decided to dump the drone-master for the magnaflow performance cat-back system, and i couldnt be any happier. no more annoying drone sound, and more of a muscle sound. i also noticed a little more throttle pick up. overall i am satisfy with magnaflow.
bbk long tubes headers-bbk x/pipe - magnaflow cat-back. attached a small video.

I think your biggest problem with the previous set-up was the O/R X-pipe with the chambered mufflers. That is just a bad combination.
Glad you like your new set-up though.

i dont have a problem with the bbk x pipe, good quality and a fairly good price, my opinion is that magnaflow sounds better with the 4.6 and flows with 5.0.

Umm...do us noobs a favor and explain to us why BBK midpipes are chitty? Last time I checked a catless midpipe was simple tube welded together with some flanges....... U srs brah?

____

I second the notion that the x pipe was the problem. X pipes suxor.

___

I will also say that I love flowmasters. I've had flowies on both of my stangs!

Car sounds great though!

BBK uses that "clamshell" design garbage, a real X like one from VRS or Dr Gas uses an actual X in the design and it changes the sound a lot actually (had both on my car, the BBK sounded blatty and cheap...)

Should have just bought a h-pipe. It would have solved the problem cheaper and made the car sound way better. Glad you found a set up you like though. That's all that's important.
