Default HID help

Bought a kit from vvme.com and am having trouble with installing it. I can get the fogs to work but the headlights don't. When I go to turn on my headlights the fogs turn off, headlights do not light and the high beam light comes on on the dash. Any ideas?

No my high beams are not on and it is a high/low beam kit. I think it might be a ground.

So stock headlights still work and the HID fogs work. So its not a fuse, and I triple checked the grounds and now im out of ideas lol. Anyone know what the problem might be?

does the ballast have a connector on it or is it hardwired in? it sounds like the wires are backwards or the connector itself is on upside down.

Im pretty sure it has a connector. Anyway I took it all apart tonight and put it back together again (making sure all connections were good) and still no luck. Im gonna call them tomorrow and see if they can help me.

Figured out the problem. The HID connector that connects to the stock headlight connect was wired wrong. HOWEVER I now have a new problem.... The HIDs still do not light. When I flick the high beams on though the bulbs move meaning the bulbs are getting power but not lighting. Anyone got any ideas?

Sounds like a faulty kit, and the wires being inserted to the plug that goes to your headlamp harness in the incorrect order is well documented. The kits were designed for euroasia sales and most cars are wired that way.

Even though the plug was wired wrong, the bulbs should still have ignited and now that they are wired correctly your bulb should stay on when you flick on the high beams. If I remember correctly all vvme kits are single bulb but have a little magnet that gets activated when you flick the high beams on.

Anywho, my info could be wrong since it's been awhile since I've had regular headlamps or hids.

Do you have a relay? If not that could be your problem.
