The diff may not need rebuilt now, but at 60k+ miles I would do it now while it is apart. Then you don't have to worry about it again for a long time.

For the same reason, I absolutely recommend new bearings and seals while you are in it.

Hmmm, thanks guys. You've given me quite a bit to consider with this. I guess, i might as well wait longer & save to do this all at once.
