so my battery was giving me troble so i went to advace auto part to gett it recharged since i dont have the money to buy a new one. so i took it off recharged it and than put it back in.(keep in mind the only problem with the car before all this was that the battery was bad and i had to puch start the car) and once it was in i went and the car turned on much nicer but i see the check engine light and the little rechent light, i gave it gas to see the reves wernt going anywhere. i need help guys. its a 2006 mustang gt.. and on top of that my fuel gague is stuck on full...... FML

 

Sounds like a computer issue or something.


Is there a special methond on S197 mustangs for removing and replacing the battery terminals to prevent computer damage?

 

i just found out it is a computer issue and appretrantly the computer is not recgonizing the throttle body..

 

I was slightly confused until I read the S197 part... drive by wire... gotcha.

Drive by wire...there is no physical connection between the TB and the accelerator.


Might try to unhook the battery again, and let it sit a minute or 2?

 

or hook a scan tool up and retrieve the codes, then we can go from there. Sounds like you have more than just a dead battery issue. Also, dont forget to re-initialize your windows

He was confused at the OP and title because our sn95s have a cable operated TB whereas yours is controlled by the CPU. You technically posted in the wrong section but it's not that big of a deal. I'm sure you would get similar responses from the s197 section.
