So I recently installed a MAC off road H-pipe, and the smell from the exhaust is absolutley horrible! it smells like straight ip gasoline and I was wondering if it was normal from having no cats or if it could be running really rich? any help is appreciated!

 

Most likely it's from not having the cats. You will get used to it.

that smell is what catalytic converters cover up. That's called pollution you get use to it....

 

I love that smell...its my little way of sayin "f you" to the EPA.

Its normal, your making it soudn REAL bad though, but its a good smell get some race gas and that smells even better BUT the BEST smell is running bean oil in a 2 stroke ATV or dirtbike.

 

Wait until you install longtubes.. it magnifies the smell 10 fold.

But seriously. The 'musclecar' smell is completely normal. It's a pungent smell. Burns the nostrils.
