Nice man you are doing some work on this car. I just wish 4v parts were as cheap as 2v parts.

I got these off summit I think I paid 390 for the header and midpipe. For as cheap as the headers were I'm surprised they went on so good. And it took about 40 mins to drop the kmember, all in the garage, no hoist :/

Nice, no special tools required? I ask because on my old dakota, lots of crap had to be pulled out and modified to fit long tube headers.

IIRC there are 12 bolts that are keeping the K member from dropping. Not difficult to drop.

Now how's ground clearance? That's what a lot of us that are slammed are concerned with when choosing headers.

I have more clearance now than I did with my bbk hPipe, but that hung pretty low. I just drove the car up north and I think some part of the exhaust is rubbing on the body. I have a very slight rough vibration, can't really feel it at all when driving just at idle. I'll have to jack it back up when I get back.

Nice, I'm surprised dropping the k-member would be so easy. Seems like one of the sites I was looking at listing installing a tubular k-member as an expert job requiring special tools.

Wouldn't longtubes be allowed if they were CARB certified?

And CTGreddy, you mentioned there was a lot of clearance for the auto trans. Is there any problem if you had to drop the trans out? Would you need to take off a header?

I'm not sure if the trans could come out or not. I'll look when I get back under the car to figure out where my headers are hitting.
