Default General Question

I currently do not own a Mustang (have to wait until March), I am looking at the 1994-2004 years. I would prefer a Cobra, is there anything that I should be on the lookout for? Trying to keep the price down to 13,000 or under.

At $13k forget about an '03 or '04 Cobra, also don't buy a 2002 Cobra unless it's an Australian model--they are far superior to the North American 2002 Cobra's...

Find an '04 GT with low mileage, in your price range that will have the most life left in it...

There were north American 2002 cobras? Oh wait there were 100 built...but shipped to Australia. Very rare! Oh and yellow. Very yellow. Oh and right hand drive. Very right hand drive. Oh and it had lots of lights. Tons of lights.

13k will get you a nice new edge GT. Or a nice sn cobra.

That's why the Australian 2002 Cobras are so much better than the North American ones...

I have found a few 1996-98 Cobras with 50-60,000 miles for around 8 to 12. That is more of the year I am looking at for Cobras, if I was to get a GT I like the 1999+ body style.

Any areas of concern on that year of Cobra? I know when they first came out, they were saying that they didnt come with the claimed HP.

That was the 1999 Cobra.

If you can do most of your own repairs then go for an earlier Cobra, if you will have to pay someone else then think hard before buying a 13 to 15 year old Cobra--or for that matter a 13 to 15 year old anything...
