Default SN 95 High Speed Stall

I have a 96' GT which stalls at freeway speeds. I have owned the car for 4 months and it has stalled twice. When it stalls sometimes will restart but run real rough and sometimes not start at all. The car will start at a later time and run fine.
I took my car to my buddys shop and there were no trouble codes, he kept it for 2 weeks and did not find any problems. Does Fords scan tool do a better job in retriving codes? Any suggestions would be appreciated, worth having Ford diagnose?

The Ford IDS (Integrated Diagnostic System) does a whole lot more than just read DTCs, it has a bunch of test routines that run components through their entire range of operation and tests the interaction and cooperation of engine control inputs and outputs...
