Default anyone had an experience with MMR?

Just bought a 04 GT and I hate to keep things stock as well as have a serious addiction to going fast. I've been looking at MMR for a couple of weeks now and have been debating on if their product is worth the price tag. I definitely want to do a 4V swap.

the easiest way to do a 4v swap is sell the gt for a cobra/mach, or find a parts car. there's a lot of little things you need on top of the heads/intake/cams/timing chains and cover.

but anyways, I've always had good experiance with mmr. My buddy bought a long block from them, 4.75 1000se with stage 3 heads/blower cams. I bought a rod/piston set from them and it all looks top notch.

I was looking at Cobras but ran across this older gentleman selling the GT for 7k with only 46,000 miles on it. I've already considered the costs of everything and look to spend somewhere around 12k which is perfectly fine with me. As long as it performs the way I expect.

I called mmr and they seemed rude to me, very short with me on the phone. Didnt even know trick flow had new 2 valve heads ( 195 cc) wich is what i was wanting. Wouldnt work with me at all. Didnt want to answer any of my questions. I think i will order all my stuff from DSS.

They've been pretty quick to respond via email and have answered my questions.. I'm pretty new to the scene of building motors, so I dont know what to look for. I just want to build a 700hp stang that I can drive daily and take to the dragstrip.

that's odd. whenever my buddy called them they were quick to answer, told him what he needed to know, and they realllllyyyy worked with him on the prices.

who did you talk to? I was told when talking about prices and such you have to talk to mark, and perhaps it was just an "off" day. I know when i'm having a bad day i dont want to talk to anyone. lol.

I have heard both bad and good about them but don't have any personal experience with them. One thing I have heard a lot of negative is with there oil pumps and how it is common for them to fail.

They make great products and my shortblock is from them. Ur build is going to over 12k for sure. I would buy a termi instead for get the gt. Termi r worth more in the end. U put 12k plus into ur mustang never to get it back put it towards termi.

agreed, i wouldn't run one of the oil pumps because of how many people i hear talk bad about them. however everything else i would not be afraid to buy. every single performance company is gonna have a few bad talkers. everyone does.
