Default best street tire?

so last season i had 555r's, liked them but would like something that lasts just a little longer, i got 12k out of the 555'rs, i'd like to get 15-20k miles out of a good set of street tires. I know i'm gonna have to trade off some traction for this but looking for something that will have the best traction for a street tire. as of now i'm leaning torwards kumho xs's, only downfall is nobody carries them right now, they're backordered everywhere. so here's my other options i've researched, anything else you guys suggest? looking for a 275/40/17 for under 200 a tire.

1. kumho xs
2. bfg kdw2
3. yokohoma s drive
4. sumi htr z III
5. sumi htr z

let me know how they feel traction wise. I know they'll last a good amount of miles just wondering about how they'll hook up.

Between the 2 sumi's, you don't want #5. There have been too many issues with those, but the zIII's actually are supposed to be pretty good. I ran a set of zIII's and really liked them, dry traction is very good, but wet traction is only just ok. I ended up getting about 20k out of them.

So far so good, I'll be going to the track soon which I'm sure that's what you'll be most interested in.

yea, i heard the htr 3's are pretty good for a budget tire. i have the htr 2's tread is amazing on them for passing inspection even after 12k miles they're only bout halfway. good luck in the rain or snow though lol.

if it were me i'd try the kumho's if ya can find em, i've also got a thing for falken's.

I have the kumho XS's and they are very good....id definitely recommend giving them a shot.

They have them at tire rack for 187 a tire in your size....

Hankook Ventus R-S3

Very sticky for a street tire. Not sure on tread life though.
