Default getting really worried...

so i ordered a built 4r70w from Darrin at BCAutomotive about 4 weeks ago, sent him $2k down, he told me 3-4 weeks, and i haven't heard from him since. he hasn't emailed me back and i've been calling for 2 and a half weeks, and get no answer, leave messages, and he doesn't call me back. does something seem kind of fishy here? or am i just being impatient?

You're a little impatient by calling for the last 2 1/2 weeks, but its pretty rude to not return you calls

Having that kind of downpayment is a good point I over looked. For that kind of money, he should read you a bedtime story over the phone as night

Hell for that kind of money I'd want a phone call from them every day telling me their progress, If I was you I'd pay them a visit in person

I would see if he accepted the money, i.e cashed the checked or charged your card. If he did keep calling or maybe go down in person. Try calling around lunch times, when they kpen or closd. They most lkkely wont be working around those times.

Also.. just some friendly advice.. Don't be too quick to jump to the conclusion that you are being taken for a ride. a few years ago I ordered a fairly expensive part for my CBR600RR from a small business that was a couple weeks late. I left a less than polite message on their machine. Turned out his wife died and he was out making funeral arraignments. I felt horrible.

Just be tactful when you do get in touch with them.

I would have been on him for a tracking number after a week at most if I paid 2 grand. I hope you get it solved. How far are you from them?
