Default hid help.

So I'm making custom h I d projectors, all housing issues aside the h.I.ds are only on the highbeams and won't turn on while low beam only. It is a dual beam kit, it has a little box that says it is a hi/low kit with pretty much every wire in the kit goes to. There is q connector the stock headlight attachment, goes into(driver's side) and the bulbs have 3 wires each that go to 3 wires on the ballast, all will only fit the coresponding wire. So only the high work, low nothing, and my fogs won't turn on with highbeams . If I can get the whole deal with the non rice projectors done I'll share.

So hi lo hid kit? Is it a hi lo hid or does it have the second xenon bulb for the high beam. If its a true hi lo hid bulb it probably has a electro magnet that moves the bulb back and forth in the housing. Don't know if that really helped much. I've been thinking about trying my hand at some Retro fit projectors just I'm not very good St custom Fab work lol

What brand kit?

Sometimes the HI is an Incandescent. Is this so in your case?

Does the blubber move when you hit the lowbeam and the light goes out?

It could be the harness is wired wrong. On mine, I had the same issues. I had to switch the wires for the brights to go to the ballast and the low beam to the high. On top of that I had to switch the physical wiring in the connector that goes into the 9007 connector on the car on the driver side. I left the ground in the middle and switched the high and low beam wires in the connector, then all was well. Just needed to use a meter and trace it all down. These kits claim plug and play, but mine sure wasnt. I also (after market light assemblies) wired my H1 high beams to come on with the BiXenon high beams as well...plus I have Halos....it was a wiring job to be sure!
