Very nice car.. If I'm not mistaken one of the best bangs for the buck on the 96-98 GT's will be a PI swap. if I'm not mistaken they do not cost that much. I would ask that question before you buy cams and a tuner (PI swap)..

Just out of curiosity, how much would it be to slap a supercharger in this car? 3-4k ?

These cars also have 2 cams lol you can do a supercharger for like 2500 to 3000 nowadays

Bottom line man. Before you think about doing any mod to your car you might want to think about doing the PI swap. Being 17 I know you want to go fast but sadly the 96-98 GT's in stock form are good for low to mid 15's. With your mods I think you may on a good day run 14.8 -15.3 at the track. Before you go out and waste your money ask some of the heavy hitters here on MF (Lizzyfan, Uberstang, justinscmidt1 and etc., etc.,) Good luck but I would suggest you do not buy cams are a tuner right now..
