I hate to tell you this, but sell the V6 and buy a V8 car, it will be cheaper and less headache in the long run. You will need a V8 donor car to pull it off any way so you may as well just buy a V8 car and add your goodies to it.

well you could technically kenne bell it right now and max out the 2v you have now. Instead of buying the 2v you should have looked into buying a forged short block or something that'll be able to handle a lot more than a stock 2v bottom end

He has to worry about getting the V8 into the V6 car before he can worry about that. It is easier just to buy a V8 car and then look into what your telling him to do.

He's already got the engine so I'm guessing he's going through with it. And he could mount the s/c while the engine is out

I did this swap. It's not that hard. But you will need a donor car. If you want it to blower friendly I'd try to keep the compression close to stock. What exactly are your plans/goals for the car?

I'm going out on a limb. With the V6 to V8 swap a general rule is that if you have to ask, you aren't ready to do it. Having the engine is step one of about 100 you need to do it correctly and keep it street legal.

A donor car is the best way to do it so you have all the odds and ends you'll need. It's a lot more than just dropping the new 4.6L in.

In fact, if you have specific HP/TQ goal in mind, chances are you can build the V6 to obtain it cheaper than you can do it by swapping the 4.6L and then going after it. Big power V6 car's are all over the place. It's very easy to do.

Not exactly, if the original post is right he says he has a gt shortblock, means he still needs complete heads, timing chain assembly timing cover valve covers intake manifold, plenum, tb and the list goes on. Your better off getting rid of the shortblock and finding a complete motor as it will save you a LARGE amount o money
