Default failed emissions

Well i have two pending incomplete ODB II incomplete codes and need one of them to go through in order to get a mass inspection sticker. Two incomplete emission codes are for cats and evap.

My good friend a ford tech says cats need to go through before evap. Evap test is the last to cycle through. I confirmed w my tuners that all systems are enabled and i have no codes other than P1000.

I have had mrt catted h pipe on my car for 3 years and passed emissions before. My guess at this point is mrt catted cats are not working like when new. Per stated inspectation voltage flow pre and post cats is the same like and ekg up and down. On the out bound voltage should should be a straight line but they r not.

Anyone have this issue before? My next step is to bolt on a used stock catted h pipe.

MIL Eliminators, stealthily installed so as to not be easily detected, will do it.

Make your own for $6 or so and once installed wrap the harness with electrical tape so as to look OEM.

The MIL eliminators trick the PCM into believing the cats are working, this allows the cat I/M monitor to complete successfully.

Depending on how thorough the inspections are where you live that may work--however a sharp inspection tech will spot the plug-in MIL eliminators in a visual inspection...

I understand, it all depends on where you live and how much of a dick the inspector is--here in Florida we do not have to deal with any of that, which combined with not having to scrape and shovel makes up for the friggin' HOT summers...

Well, I have installed MIL eliminators to my car and have driven vehichle over 350 miles in all traffic conditions but I cannot get my OBDII Cat monitor to change from INC to Ok. This thing is killing me I cannot be the only person to have this problem.

Anyone have a factory stock catted h-pipe?

Evap could be as simple as needing a new gas cap or making sure its sealed correctly.

If the cats are at all active it could be that the output of the rear sensors is already low and the MIL eliminators have reduced it to too low to make the catalyst monitor happy--however without seeing oscilloscope traces of the front and rear outputs I cannot say that with any certainty.

Here is another Ford document that may be of some assistance, it describes the catalyst monitor entry conditions and operation.

Yes, I purchased a new gas cap, however, both EVAP and CAT monitors are non-continuous monitors and both are Incomplete.
