Default Check Engine Light blinking while driving? Need Help!!

lets start with the car 2002 mustang GT, 145k miles mostly stock other than full exhaust and some bolt ons and superchips programmer. I was getting on the hwy the other morning and went to get up to speed and the car was studdering and had missing power I immediatly looked down at the gauges and the check engine light was blinking which i have never seen before..... by the time i went to pull over on the shoulder and check under the hood the light went solid and it ran just like it was supposed to. It has since then done this a more than a handful of times and once on the way to work this morning.... Just figured i would see if anyone has had similar problems or what they did to fix this or any suggestions. I talked to the guy i got the car from and he said plugs were done a year ago and the fuel filter has never been done. I have only had the car about 4 months...... let me add the check engine light has always been on bc of the exhaust it has MIL eliminators but for some reason the check engine light will come and go and when i run the code i get the O2 sensor code

Faulty coil pack(s)

Get the car scanned for codes, find out which missfire code it is giving you, and replace that coil pack and spark plug. problem fixed

Your sig says resident ford tech...not being a smart aleck...but are you really a ford tech? I ask because it's nice to know you're out there watching out for us.

worked at carman ford in new castle DE for almost 5 years. My team leader left, opened his own place, and took me with him. Now I work on everything, but still have access to anything Ford. So Im here to help, however this forum has gone down hill since the good old days
