Default Help Me Choose My Midpipe

Hey Guys,

Currently deciding between the Magnaflow Tru-X Catted X-Pipe and SLP Catted X-Pipe right now and can't make my mind up. I live in California so I have to attempt to stay smog-legal which means off-road mid-pipes are out of the question. My current catback is a set of Flowmaster Super 40s.

Looking on YouTube for exhaust clips didn't seem to help my decision much so I'm turning it over to you guys; Magnaflow, or SLP?

You guys both suggest the Bassani pipes - why, out of curiosity? I can get a deal on either the Magnaflow or SLP mid-pipes but if the Bassani pipes are that much better I can probably be convinced.

I have a mac o/r x pipe and like it. Here is their catted x-pipe.

However, with flows I think an h-pipe will sound better. Mrt makes a catted h-pipe but it is a a little pricey.

I have a Bassani Stainless, catted "X" pipe. And my cat-back is the Stainless FlowMaster American Thunder.
Although the system sound great, it is just too loud. It is fun to drive around town & listen to, but the stereo is worthless. I really miss my CDs.
I am now looking at resonated exhaust tips to quiet it down a little.

Do you have a sound clip of your setup? I'm blessed with a job where I get to drive many other cars daily so I no longer need to dd mine, so louder wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Even if I lived in a state without emissions controls I wouldn't get an off-road pipe.

Good to know that its a tossup between the two, doesn't sound like I can make the wrong decision.
