Hello all,
It has been a very long time but I am in the process of selling my mustang and need to get a part and I can't seem to find it and hopefully you guys might be able to help me out.

I have 2002 GT 5spd and the plastic piece where the shift boot and cigarette lighter are, i have modified to fit my radar detector display and well basically I need a new plastic piece.

This is the piece - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Mustang...edeac6&vxp=mtr

But it states this is for an automatic transmission and i don't think it will work

Any help would be great.

I want to say the 5spd one has special clips on the bottom to hold the vinyl boot in place...so if you don't mind the look of the boot sagging in the hole in the floor the auto one will work......haha!

I've been looking for a manual shift bezel with T/C and the cig lighter, found one but it's for an automatic as well... I'm sure you could rig up something to make it work with the boot to work though.

The automatic bezel will fit with a 5-speed, I have one in my car:

It does not have the plastic posts on the backside, used to mount the shift boot, however if you degrease the bezel and the boot well you can use the 3M gray trim tape to tape the boot in place from underneath--mine has been mounted that way for 4+ years with no problems. I also stuck the fake trim ring on with the 3M tape...

Cliffy I wish I would've mounted my trim ring with tape instead of drilling all those holes in my bezel. As Cliffy said they are the same except the manual bezels have the shift boot attached.
