Hey thxs jvog.. I'm gonna pass this info to the guy doing the install. Yes we're doing the install from the top. Anyone else had the problem of installing the tranny with the headers connected?

I've only encountered the same, headers hitting the k member.

So what do you guys think? Should I take the headers off until the engine and tranny are in the car?

yeah thats why i do mine from the bottom, its hard as hell to get the trans on with the headers and theres NO room with the hydroboost from the top...

on a side note, can you tell me what size the bolt/plug is on the bottom left (from the back) of the pass side head? thats the one im missing and its getting old now... lol

but is looking BITCHIN, cant wait to hear it run again

So you guys think we should go from the bottom instead of the top?

That's my personal preference, installing the headers after installing is just a pain in the *** and installing from the top can be pretty time consuming.

It looks like the tranny is already bolted up, so I guess that wasn't an issue. Looks like the consensus is that you will hit the headers on the k member during install though.

Yeah, it's only 8 bolts that hold the k member on, out drops right out and just put the motor on and drop the car down on top, takes less than an hour, just make sure you put the steering shaft in before you put the k back on, makes it a million times easier
