STB install gone wrong
My parents got me a BBK strut tower brace for Christmas, I don't really have the tools or climate right now to do it myself. So I had a pretty big name Ford dealership install it this morning.
They called me and said there had been an accident. The tech had taken the hood off, and sat it down on a table, well when they opened the garage a gust of wind made it fall over, cracking the paint all along the front lip. They admitted it's their mistake, so they're sending it to their preferred body shop (they don't have their own) and are going to have it repaired.
Mistakes happen, so as long as they properly fix it, I won't have a problem. Hey this will even take care of my stone chips I never got around to.
Can't see it that well but most of the front edge has cracking:
Meanwhile they've given me a 2013 Yaris, So on paper I left with about 200lb-ft of torque less than I came in with.

Awesome, I was once given an identical Yaris as a rental. I really enjoyed driving it.
Of course it may have been do how quiet and roomy it was, I still wouldn't mind one as a DD.

that's how I'm looking at it lol.
Yeah, I was disappointed at first, but accidents happen, tech was a mustang owner too.
It was certainly a different experience driving it, the high winds didn't help the ride home.
I was happy they wanted $110 less than a well know performance shop to put it in, every other dealership in the area refused to install it.
Yeah, the BBK specifically uses an adapter to reach the firewall pinch weld, so they had to take all of the cowl assembly apart, probably to make it easier to drill the holes.
