Like everybody else I have gotten busy with other things in life. I used to be an obese drug addict for most of the time I posted here but got sick of that and did a complete 180. That took/takes a lot of time and energy out of my life.
unfortunately we cant run with adam at the moment. Its been some time actually... hes too busy blowing **** up

I have no idea how a forum works, but does it generate $$ based on how many views/members it attracts?

If so, then the commercialization has accomplished the opposite of that.

The ads don't bother me (I run AdBlock on Google Chrome) however I do find that a great number of the newer posts are from members of the "texting" generation.

They tend to be great globs of run-on, non-punctuated, all lower case text filled with silly phonetic abbreviations. Once in a while I will plod through one or two of those if it looks like I might be able to help--but mostly I ignore them. Then there are those whose great concern is how mods will "look" and how this or that exhaust will "sound".

I wouldn't care if a mod looked like Nancy Pelosi, or if an exhaust system sounded like a sloppy beer fart; IF it made the car faster and/or handle better...

Well like someone said, these mustangs get cheaper as time goes by so the kids growing up that saw these "sports cars" as a desire can finally afford one. They want it to look and sound great, who cares if the suspension is shot or the car is a mechanical POS.

I for one left because I sold my GT. and Mach1 and now I'm in a GTO. I linger but the topic of most threads are a waste of time to post in. I hang out on SVTP for the media forum as entertainment and GTO forums for useful info.

I'm all for lending my knowledge of things I have done if it helps someone with a thought out or good technical question, but when you ask "Will I throw a CEL by removing my mufflers with straight pipes?" I pass over the thread...

It's always been like that though, you just notice them now since you've been a member for so many years. I've noticed the same. I used to come to the forums daily. There was always new stuff. If i missed a day I actually felt like I might have missed out on something.

These days I come on maybe once or twice a week and it's the same stuff....over and over and over....

And is it just me or are people getting lazier at either googling stuff or trying to at least find the answer first before posting a question?

These days the postings are all the same:
Best Tune, What CAI, What Exhaust, What rims, Hey "tell me what you think about ....", or what is causing this OBDII code....

Anyways, carry on!

LOL so damn true! I'll have to remember that one for the next thread I see in the S197 Tech forum. That's another thing that bugs me. If you're going to post in a forum, post in the right forum!

So many dayum people posting tech stuff in the newb section or appearance stuff in the tech section or jumping into the middle of a thread.

Mods should spend more time fixing that stuff than trying to be the PC police. To any mod reading this post. I mean this in general to the Mustang Forums, not this sub forum specifically .
