I'm sure this question has been answered in many mustang forums, but does anyone know what specific modifications are need to fit an 03/04 Cobra front bumper on an 02 GT? I like the look of the cobra front end and that's why I was looking to buy this bumper. Any help is appreciated.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I know the factory Honeycomb Grille that comes with the GT models won't fit with the cobra bumper.

You need the cobra bumper and grill delete, that's it. Direct replacement.

you sure about the grill delete? the 99/01s cobra bumpers were the grill delete. It is without the honeycomb. Only thing he should need is the bumper and a new emblem because the old honeycomb junk has the pony molded to it

 

I thought the mounts had to be tweaked slightly to fit with GT hood? Maybe I made it up.

 

Read this. The honeycomb grill will fit no problem. All you have to do is push the horns back a little to clear the hood. Drill new holes for the push pins and done. You will have to remove the fender brackets from the old bumper and put them on the new one. 3 rivets on each side. Not a big deal. Pretty easy stuff. If you get the bezels and fog lights make sure you mount them before you mount the bumper. Pain the other way. Had to pull the bumper back off to do this. If you have any other questions hit me up.
