Was out car shopping with my Dad for like a week straight (lack of credit) and was so burnt out I just wanted to settle on anything. Thunderbird, Camaro..... Then we were on our way home and a Mitsubishi dealer had like 5 Mustangs for sale. Settled on a 2001 performance red GT with 36k miles that was beautiful. Been hooked ever since.

I have mine because of the combination of affordability and performance. Since the S197s and the other current pony cars like the new Camaro have all raised the base prices to higher levels, the SN95s remain popular.
I think 'price' and 'aftermarket' are going to be popular answers...

I don't have a new edge, and the 94-98 aren't really around much anymore, especially nice GTs and Cobras.Originally Posted by Schmalgar

Yep yep. I know you don't... And I know they aren't... That's why I said New Edges specifically are still a dime a dozen rather than SN95s are a dime a dozen, in response to your comment that 05s and up are a dime a dozen...Originally Posted by uberstang1

I was on my way home from work. On this particular day, I took the long route. Ended up seeing a 2004 40th anniversary edition mustang 61,000mi that was in immaculate condition, and only had one owner. I looked at the car for maybe an hour that night and decided if my mechanic and the the test drive went smooth I would buy the car... Needless to say, I bought the car the next morning on my way to work. I've been a happy mustang owner ever since.

I had a 2000 Coupe GT 13 years ago... loved that car, so in May I went looking for another, found one in need of some TLC... restored it, it got wrecked, rebuilt it again, then just finished the 2nd full paint job in 3 months on it yesterday.
It doesn't have all the comforts of my 13, but damn I love that car. I think the body lines are awesome and with the fresh Ford Silver paint job it looks brand new.
(pic in my sign, but that was before most recent full paint job)

You do realize that 99/04 are still SN95's? New Edge is just slang so the 99/04 Mustang owners can feel different and specialOriginally Posted by Schmalgar
