Default Weird dyno after S/C

Hey guys i recently pieced together a vortech t trim kit and got it dynoed. Car was bone stock besides weld in flowmaster 40's (from when my dad owned the car). I just noticed my torque was crazy for the power i'm making. What do you guys think? Obviously I'm not complaining!!

Those numbers are about right for a fairly stock new edge. Throw a power pipe on her and maybe drop down a pulley size. You might be able to see over 350 or so to the rear wheels. Add some cams and you'll be seeing 400.

Yea that's normal. You Need to open that motor up and let it breath. Heads cam exhaust will increase both power & torque and will also pull the spread between both numbers closer together. But congrats. 340WHP aint to shabby.

Thumbs up

I was by no means complaining. I just thought it was weird, most people I saw bone stock were making around 340 rwhp and 350 lb/ft. Thanks for the suggestions for adding power but I think I'm just gonna save a little while. Then one day when i have around 10k get a forged shortblock, either a built 3650 or t56, build the rear, dished pistons, cams, upgrade the fuel system, add an intercooler and maybe a Ysi. Then I'll have one bad 2v

Besides, either way that's plenty for an 18 year old!

The only people driving a stock Mustang GT (NA) making 340 to 350 to the wheels are the 11 and up GT's. A New Edge making that much power without some kind of FI is nearly impossible and if it can happen I would assume it would be quite expensive. BTW nice numbers and Keep us posted on your build.

I meant bone stock 2v with vortechs on them! Sorry that was my bad wording.

ATM due to unfortunate circumstances that were out of my control I'm out of work. It'll be a few weeks before I do anything but when I do heres what I'm thinking

I NEED exhaust on it. I'm gonna do an bbk o/r h pipe to go with the flowmaster 40s, then I'm doing s&r supersports and some other suspension stuff. After that I'm just gonna invest in a DA polisher and keep up with her. Eventually get a built tranny and strong clutch, then fuel systems good up to around 600 rwhp, build the rear end and a long while down the road ill build the engine and crank the boost up.

I think looks are mostly done besides the stance and a couple scratches I gotta get out. This is it!
