god help me. I need a bellhousing for a tr3650
Doing a clutch swap on my 04 gt with the tr3650. Car needed a new clutch due to a horrid clicking sound that changes when i press the clutch pedal. Figured since the miles on the old clutch were high that i would replace the pilot bearing and the clutch while im in there. Well after getting the tranny out i found that the sleeve that the throw out bearing rides on is all grooved and is what what eating up the throw out bearing. No problem right? Wrong... For the life of me I cant find the part anywhere. Apparently the sleeve is pressed into the bellhousing so I have to buy the whole bellhousing instead of just the sleeve, which wouldn't be so bad if i could just find one. Ford dealer can't source it. Called every salvage yard in the state with no luck. American muscle refered me to Tremec which referred me to a dead end. All the big box parts distributors are dead ends. 1A auto.com, Rockauto.com, carparts.com = dead end.com..... I refuse to buy an entire transmission because of a ****ty input shaft sleeve. There are 2 on ebay but they are used and most likely have the same problem. So anyone got any ideas? Attached is a pic of the part im talking about.
It's not attached to the bell housing. It's an input shaft sleeve/retainer.

The TR3650 doesn't have a separate bellhousing, which explains why you can't find one. It's all one piece with the transmission case. If you have your transmission out, this should be readily apparent.
From the website below: " Racing Applications - Scatter Shield
The integral aluminum bell housing of the TR3650 restricts the use of this transmission where SFI requirements are specified. A solution is to replace the front housing with a custom adapter plate that will allow it to bolt to a traditional bell housing that does meet SFI specifications.Â* Once the scatter shield conversion is performed, the cost of this all-out racing TR3650 rivals that of the T56 Magnum."
