jba shorty headers installation

Did you at least get a little nicer exhaust note from them?
And you're right, install is a total bitch. My car was in the shop recently for a new clutch and some other crap, I have a set of equal length Pypes shorties (look to be about the same as BBK - basically resemble a handful of tangled up spaghetti noodles) that I figured we would try to put on while the car was already torn halfway apart.
I at one point actually had the right side in and attached with a few bolts, but with the engine in the car there was simply zero access to some other bolts. May have been able to get them started, but actually torquing them properly was never gonna happen. The usual "drop the k member" strategy would not have helped, as the most probematic areas were on the top facing side.
So I unfortunately had to say f*** it, it just was not justifyable to pull my engine out for that. I've heard that even with the engine out and on a stand it can still be a little challenging.
Yeah bro I noticed a little difference in the sound department but man that was it. A lot of guys told me not to do it but a I didn't listen. Worst thing about it I used the cheap azz BBK gaskets and had a bad exhaust leak. Had to pay another two hundred bucks to get it fixed.

Why does everyone think it's a hard install? Drop the K disconnect coolant lines, lower the engine. 2.5 hours later your driving the car again. But still shorty headers is not worth the 2.5 hours you could have done something better with the money.
