HEAD SERIAL # ON MY 1996 MUSTANG LOOKS LIKE PI HEAD PLEASE LET ME KNOW?
SO I LOOKED UNDER RIGHT HEAD ON FRONT NEAR EXHAUST CYLINDER #1 # LOOKS LIKE HARD TO READ THERE IS A 81 THEN BELOW IT SAYS RF1LE2 3090 AND BELOW D24D THE VALVE COVERS HAVE 11 BOLTS BOTH SIDES AND OIL FILL IS ON THE LEFT DRIVERS SIDE ALSO THE DIP STICK DRIVERS SIDE. THE INTAKE THE #1 TUBE IN FRONT COMES FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE.IT HAS AFTERMARKET HEAD BOLTS SPS THE CAM # IS KRUPP PRESTA US PAT.NR 4.903 543 AND NR4.947 547 IT HAS A SLIP ON TIMING GEAR WITH A THREADED BOLT HOLDING IT AND 3 SEPERATE CAM JOURNAL GIRDLES. WHAT ARE THESE HEADS? AND CAM AND INTAKE FROM? IT ON MY 1996 MUSTANG GT. THIS IS THE MOTOR IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH USING A QUART OF OIL IN 60 MILES OIL ALL OVER THE BACK OF CAR BUMPER AND I THINK THERE IS A HOLE IN PISTON.I WILL POST PICS ALSO.THANK U ALL FOR THE HELP CAUSE THIS IS MY 1ST 4.6 THANKS

From googling KRUPP PRESTA they are a company that makes cam cores for Ford which is an indication they are stock

If #3 has no compression at all, ZERO PSI, unless you have NO mechanical experience or skill pull the head off, all your question will be answer not that big of a job. That's what i would do but that's me.

PI HEADS AND INTAKE ON MY 96 GT 4.6.SOMEBODY ADDED THE PI SWAP
SO I HAVE A 96 GT DID A LOT OF INVESTIGATING ON THIS MOTOR CAUSE # 3 CYLINDER IS DEAD NO COMPRESSION AT ALL USES A QT OIL IN 50 MILES HAHA YA 50 MILES.SO I GOT CAMERA THAT GOES INSIDE THE SPARK PLUG HOLE AND MUST HAVE A HOLE OF MESSED UP RINGS BUT I THINK A HOLE.AFTERMARKET HEAD BOLTS AND THEY ARE PI HEADS WITH PI INTAKE.ITS A ROMEO BLOCK AND PI SWAP THATS BEEN REBUILT NOT THAT LONG AGO WITH THE PIC OF CROSS HATCHED MARKS. BUT WHAT IS WEIRD IS THE OIL FILL IS ON DRIVERS SIDE AND ALSO DIP STICK.HAS 11 VALVE COVER BOLTS AND ITS A 2003 OR 2994 PI SWAP.EVERYONE SAID NO PI HEADS WITH OIL FILL ON DRIVERS SIDE.BUT I GOT THE HEAD #s AND IT SHOWS PI HEADS IM JUST LOST.IVE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR FEW MONTHS AND MY 1ST 4.6. IM GONNA TAKE INTAKE AND HEAD OFF SOON AND LET EVERY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO #3 HOLE.THANKS
