Does anyone know the diffrence in the ford performance intake manifold and the doorman intake for 99 to 04 gt?

 

The Dorman is a direct bolt on, but is more similar to the NPI intake from pre-99 motors. It has smaller diameter shorter intake runners which don't flow as well. Hard to see the difference installed on the car. Differences are quite obvious when compared side by side on the bench. Both have aluminum coolant crossovers.

 

Ok, since i have pi heads the ford performance should be what goes on.. Someone has replaced it before with a doorman and i wasnt sure if it was a true pi bolt up or not.. I think ill just spring for the ford performance.. Thanks man.
